“Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation Ltd is now established. The key objective of this company would be to undertake all the advertising and marketing activities of the government, in line with government’s policy to carryout similar tasks under a one particular office”, says a recent press release from the President’s Office.
Now, I think this is a good development as I thought about such a platform and posted a suggestion back in December 2008. In my post I recommended to establish Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Whatever the name might be I guess this new Corporation will do all-things-marketing-and-public relations to promote and “Brand the Nation” that we all are proud of.

when is this corporation going to be formed? I heard that Maldives Tourism Promotion Board is now looking to change their long-lived tagline “Sunny Side of Life”.. is this part of this Marketing Coportation? Do you think changing the tagline will have any inpact to the industry?
Hi nabeel, when is this company going to be formed.. i heard MATI is now trying very heard with Universal owners to defam this corporation and bann MTPB. they want to have only MATI for their children. why they have all our islands..????
