A recent survey has revealed that Travellers ‘prefer hotels to home at Xmas’. The survey conducted among 1,500 members of online travel community TripAdvisor found that 75% of people would prefer to spend Christmas in a hotel rather than visit the homes of their relatives.

Christmas is such a stressful time for many people that they would rather spend it in a comfortable hotel than with their families, according to the new research.

Over a third of the survey respondents said they plan to go traveling for the Christmas holidays this year.

The list of top five ‘escape locations’ in the survey included Hawaii, Paris, New York City and the Maldives.
