Having worked with leading luxury resort companies Six Senses for Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili and Per AQUUM for Huvafen Fushi, Nabeel was often viewed sceptically by industry professionals with his calculative and target oriented sales and marketing strategies. But he showed them otherwise when the multi-award winning retreat, Huvafen Fushi hit 80% in occupancy at an average of $1000 per room per night for 15 consecutive months trailblazing the luxury market in the Maldives leaving the competition in his dust.
Having experienced over 10 years of island living, bright city lights made Nabeel choose to use his knowledge and skills in the highly anticipated opening of the capital’s first international hotel, the Holiday Inn. With no time wasted at all, Nabeel soon became the most familiar face and voice on local TV and radio channels. His ‘I Male’ campaign became quite the buzz in the city creating a socio-political following generating further hype to the launch of Holiday Inn Male’. Nabeel’s long held relationships with tour operators, airlines and resorts as well, easily made him gain their faith in the brand.
